Labor Support

After the mother has established written birth preferences, we are ready for the big day! Once labor is confirmed under way, the Doula will arrive to begin support. If birthing at home, plans are in place to contact the birth team to ensure their arrival before the birth while mother and family receive Doula support. A hospital or birth center birth requires support at home until transitional labor is eminent. Transfer to the hospital or birth center is next for the last phases of birth where support throughout the birth is continued.
